In April of 2002 I made my second trip to Slovenia and again visited with Bostjan and Sasa Zrimsek, my wonderful hosts. This trip was more about finding my family roots than my first trip and I was able to locate, with the help of a few folks, the birth place of my Great-Great Grandfather Martin Zrimsek. This village is located on the eastern edge of Slovenia, very near Croatia. The village is named:
To convert this to English, you add an "h" after each letter with the accent. This village name would be pronounced something like Chadrazhe. My friends took me to the exact location of Martin's birth home. The original structure is gone and the land sold but the land looks like this: Nearby is a church with a Zrimsek family burial Plot, The person most responsible for my finding this information is Ivan Divjak (pictured below) Based on what he tells me, he is a Grandson of Martin Zrimsek, my Great-Great-Grand Father. I've also made a rough family tree.
